Although the building’s scale and form were constrained by the Kings Cross masterplan, the challenging mixed use brief and imaginative design interpretation has resulted in a building which establishes a true civic presence in an intensely commercial location. Its cube-like form accentuates both the public amenity and office functions, prominent uses aimed at serving the whole community. It is a confident statement of social, economic and environmental sustainability.
