Panel’s Comments :

This is a visually exciting building which interacts very well with the townscape providing an attractive front entrance with a bridge link from the street. The plan forms a central hub with radiating teaching wings, promoting a sense of community and providing clear circulation. The hub contains a triple volume space for sports and dining that opens up into a large hall, capable of housing the whole school. The other shared facilities are wrapped around this space. The successful design and completion of this project within an existing public open space was in part due to close communication with the community and a gift of 1000 rowan trees from the school.
