This project benefitted from community involvement throughout the design process and this is clearly seen in the provision and use of facilities within the college. The ground floor entrance opens out from reception to a community café open to the public which doubles as an exhibition area for students’ work. The college also provides multi-function rooms on the upper floors to maximise the use of space and the top floor has open views of the parkland and the city beyond. The design incorporates a high level of environmental sustainability.
