Panel’s Comments :

The Panel believes this project will act as a catalyst for the redevelopment of what was an under used and somewhat neglected seafront. Primarily a coastal defence project, it exemplifies what is possible when authorities work together and combine talent and resources. Using local history as its reference point, through the use of sculptures, water features and shelters, the new promenade has created a series of visually exciting public spaces where visitors can meet, relax and enjoy quality leisure time.
