ACES Conference: 2050: Path to Sustainable Communities
15 September, 2022 - 16 September, 2022
NB This is not a SPACES Organised Event!
In September ACES will gather in Sutton at the Holiday Inn to hear how to navigate the Path to Sustainable Communities. We are all adapting to an evolving landscape in a post pandemic, but recession threatened environment. One constant theme is demanding the attention of all of us – sustainability. Specifically, ensuring what we do supports sustainable communities.
At this years’ conference, hosted by Sutton ACES branch, Ronan Leyden from Bioregional will explain what we mean by a sustainable community and then other speakers will examine the elements that make that definition come to life. Helen Stubbs, our next president will talk about levelling up in the north east and what’s happening in Darlington. We will hear from the Government about how they are moving departments to our regions and outer London plus our industry experts like Carter Jonas, Lambert Smith Hampton and Avison Young will showcase their work and lead discussions on themes such as the 15-minute neighbourhood, biodiversity, regeneration of the high street, levelling up, active travel as well as updates on valuation, the law and trends in the market place.
The 2022 conference is open to everyone who works within the public sector. It will run across the 15 and 16 September at the Holiday Inn, Sutton and there will be many opportunities for open discussion, networking and accruing CPD on a wide range of topics, from regeneration, housing development, net zero and retrofit to the future of the profession.
More details of the agenda and speaker biographies will be mailed to members and prospective delegates shortly. For more information and to register see their website.
