Study Day 2020 – Zero Carbon and the Climate Emergency

18 June, 2020 – 9:00 am - 4:30 pm

The SPACES Study Day has been postponed until later in the year. Please follow us on LinkedIn for updates.

This year’s Study Day is being held on Thursday 18th June at De Montfort University, Leicester on the theme of Zero Carbon and the Climate Emergency.

With 65% of District, County, Unitary & Metropolitan Councils and 80% of Combined Authorities having declared a Climate Emergency to date, this Study Day will focus on ‘nuts-and-bolts, hands-on, lessons learnt’ and how we are working together to meet the UK target to bring greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050.

Over the coming months, the policies and priorities of the government,  with respect to tackling climate change, should become clearer as well as the degree of funding identified for adaption and mitigation measures.

Working collaboratively to deliver outcomes efficiently, as well as sharing knowledge and experience will be key to maximising the value of any spend.

Further information will follow in the new year, and updates will also be made on LinkedIn and Twitter.
