The judges were extremely impressed with how the team managed the complexity and challenges that this project posed. This was an extremely difficult site to access, located in the heart of Cambridge. It had all the challenges of dealing with an iconic listed building, formally the historic Exam Hall of the University of Cambridge, whilst at the same time ensuring the university remained in operation. With numerous stakeholders to manage, both internally and externally, the project team demonstrated how a truly collaborative team can overcome the odds and deliver an outstanding result.
